Sarita Arteaga, DMD, MA, FACD, MAGD, attended NYU and received a DMD degree from the UConn, then completed a GPR at Bronx Municipal Hospital. She teaches and practices at UCONN since 1995 and is a Professor and Associate Dean for Students. She attained a Mastership from the Academy of General Dentistry, and is a member of the Hispanic Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, National Dental Association, and American Dental Education Association. She completed a degree in Counseling from Liberty University. She is the Past-President for the H.D.A. and is the President of the H.D.A. Foundation. Dr. Arteaga takes an active community role, performing screenings at the Head Start program in Meriden, the Special Olympics, Migrant Farmworkers Clinic, South Park Inn Homeless Shelter and at CT Mission of Mercy.
