Sandra D’Amato-Palumbo

Sandra D'Amato-Palumbo, RDH, MPS, EdD Since 1997, Dr. Sandra D'Amato-Palumbo has been a tenured professor at the University of New Haven. She teaches in the Doctor of Health Science program, the Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene program, and General and Oral Pathology, and provides clinical instruction at Yale New Haven Health, Department of Dentistry. Dr. Palumbo's professional service includes chairing dental hygiene site visits for the Commission on Dental Accreditation, serving as secretary and treasurer for the UNH Sigma Phi Alpha Dental Hygiene Society, and being a member of the State of Connecticut Dental Association Continuing Education Council. As a published author in referred dental and dental hygiene journals and textbooks, her current research focuses on determinants influencing health and illness among individuals at risk for disease or infection.
