Elias Chatah, Jr. DMD, PharmB, MS, is a graduate of The University of Sydney Medical School and Monash University Pharmacy College (Australia). He has worked in private and hospital pharmacy and private dental practice and has held academic positions in the US following the completion of AEGD/GPR residencies. He completed a master’s degree in medical management at the University of Rochester, NY. Eli has dental pharmacotherapeutics, prescribing patterns, and pain management protocols. At UConn, he has led several initiatives pertaining to opioid prescribing education, and the dental management of patients with substance use disorders. He serves as a peer reviewer for MedEdPORTAL and Clinical Dentistry Reviewed. He has authored chapters in the ADA's Dental Drug Handbook and co-authored a number of articles.
