David Fried, DMD, practiced general dentistry in Wallingford, Connecticut, for 35 years. He is a Past President of the Connecticut State Dental Association and currently serves in the American Dental Association House of Delegates, on the ADA Council on Dental Practice, the ADA Workforce Subcommittee, and the Dental Assisting National Board Professional Model Development Committee. He also serves as Co-Chair of the CSDA Council on Government Affairs. Dr. Fried previously served in the United States Air Force and later retired from the Connecticut Army National Guard with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, having served as State Chief Dentist. He remains active in legislative advocacy on behalf of the profession and serves as volunteer clinical faculty at the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine.
