Judy McIntyre, DMD grew up in sunny Los Angeles, CA, and after experiencing a traumatic dental injury at a young age, her future in dentistry rooted. She attended the Harvard School of Dental Medicine, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. At Harvard, she performed research on dental unit waterline biofilms, in conjunction with a UCLA dental school professor. After graduation, Judy happily accepted a coveted endodontics residency position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Alongside renowned researchers in the field of endodontics, traumatology and pediatric dentistry, she flourished and her research regarding traumatic dental injuries has been published in numerous professional journals. Dr. McIntyre maintains a private practice and remains active in organized dentistry: she has completed the Massachusetts Dental Society Leadership Institute as well as the ADA Diversity in Leadership Institute, and currently serves on the AAE Board of Directors and the AAE Membership Services Committee. She enjoys sharing her passion for dentistry: dental trauma, 2D and 3D dental imaging, and all things related to endodontics.
